After I placed an order and got an on screen confirmation, why didn’t I receive my emailed receipt?

Either you entered an incorrect email address or your internet service provider rejected the email for an unspecified reason. If you feel this is possible, log onto overstocksafari.com and click the customer service icon. Include the day and approximate time of your order, the name you used for billing, the last 4 digits of the credit card you used (for security and identification purposes), a phone number, and the corrected email address.

I added something to my shopping cart, continued browsing, and when I clicked the “View Cart/Checkout” button the item I added wasn’t there. Why?

You probably hit the “Back Button” on your browser while in the view cart. To continue shopping or browsing after an item has been added to your cart, you should click the “Continue Shopping” button.

The other possibility is your browser is set to refuse cookies. Cookies are required to shop on the overstocksafari.com web site (see faqs about “cookies”).

I get a warning message saying that cookies must be enabled. What are cookies, why do I need to accept them and are they safe?

Yes cookies are safe. Cookies are small bits of information that are stored on your computer. They can only be placed on secured areas of your machine and cannot transmit any personal information other than what we actually place there. We store only your address and items in your cart on your PC. No credit card information is stored by us (Please see our Privacy Pledge).

My credit card was rejected when I know I haven’t exceeded my limit? Why?

It is possible that either the billing address or the CVV (Card Verification Value) didn’t match the credit card used. Try placing the order again, or with a different credit card.

For other reasons, you should contact your credit card issuer directly.

An item was in my shopping cart, but when I went to check out, a message came up saying it was out of stock. Why?

An item is not marked “out of inventory” until it has actually been sold. The likely cause for the message is that while you added the item into your cart, someone else had it in their cart and completed checking out. We are currently working on upgrading this aspect of our shopping system. If you are still interested in receiving the “out of stock” item, please use the customer service icon to let us know, and we will inform you by email when that item will be available.

Every time I try to add item "xxxxxx"  to my cart it sends me to check out and says my cart is empty. Why?

The item no longer appears on any of our pages and was deleted when the item sold out. If you were referred by Google, it is possible you viewed a cached (saved) version of our site that was stored on their servers and is now out of date.

DELIVERY/SHIPPING

Why do some products show a handling charge below the price? Why do some products not offer free shipping?

In the case of a handling charge, the product is usually too heavy, oversized, or extremely fragile and special packing and shipping is required. Overstocksafari.com offers “free shipping” only on certain items to pass additional savings on to our customers. Our standard policy allows for us to cover the cost of shipping and handling.

When I type my order number into the shipping status form, why do the results not show my order status or why does it give me an error message?

Our tracking system is provided by UPS, and can only track a package status once it has left our warehouse and has been picked up by UPS. It is also possible that you entered an incorrect order number. Try again or wait 1 day and try again. If the problem persists, log onto overstocksafari.com and click the customer service icon. Make sure you include the order date and the order number and we will send you a status report.

When should I expect my order?

Most orders are shipped within 24 to 48 hours. Standard UPS ground shipping will add another 1 -7 busines days. If you like, you can track your package using our online tracking system buy entering your order number found on the order confirmation emailed to you. Please remember to wait 24 to 48 hours before tracking.

My shipment arrived broken. What should I do?

Why won’t you ship to my Post Office box?

Only the Post Office can deliver to PO boxes. All our shipping is provided by United Parcel Service (UPS) so that packages can be insured and tracked.

When I placed an order, I accidentally used a Post Office box as my shipping address, but my order was accepted by your system. How will I receive my order?

You will be contacted by email or phone for a corrected shipping address.

TECHNICAL/WEBSITE

Your site says it is secured, but when I browse pages my lock icon on my browser is open, not closed. Why?

The product portion of our site is not secured as it is not needed. The shopping cart and entire checkout process has been secured by accepted security practices including high-encryption of transmitted data.

Sometimes the menus won’t work. Why?

You must have a JavaScript capable browser and JavaScript must be enabled for portions of this site to function properly. We recommend Microsoft Internet Explorer 5.5 or greater or Netscape 6.0 or greater.

Can I save the contents of my shopping cart and come back later?

Yes. Contents of you cart are saved for 3 days. No personal information is stored on our servers.

Do you store my credit card information on a public server?

No personal information is stored on our servers, except during checkout while the credit card is being processed.

Is this product under warrantee?

We do not warrantee or guarantee our products except where specifically stated (please read our Terms of Use Policy). Some products are under Manufacturer’s warrantee, and this will be stated in the product packaging.

What does available in case pack mean?

Available in case pack means we are willing to sell a packaged case of the product at a reduced price. We do offer wholesale pricing to our larger customers. Your prices are so low I would like to order in large quantities. Can I get a quantity discount?

If an item is available in case pack, we will entertain offers for case pack sales. Please contact wholesale@overstocksafari.com or or use our customer service form and use the general questions option.

How can you sell products so inexpensively?

We buy many factory overruns, closeouts, and discontinued items along with our large purchasing power to quantity discounts. All items are new and in their original packaging.

The box looked like it was open. Is the merchandise on your site used?

Our merchandise has NEVER been used. The box may have been opened by our warehouse staff prior to shipping to verify that all items are included and that there is no damage.
